We can look at it 2 ways: an embarrassing fiasco where we undermined ourselves as footballers, disintegrated as a team and have left ourselves with a mountain to climb for the rest of the season. Or it was one of those games, a stupid results which we didn’t handle very well. We can easily talk ourselves in to framing it as option 1 and there is no benefit in that.
A good turn out on Thursday, a smart (thinking and passing) performance on Saturday and it gets put down to option 2. We then get to feel good that we responded positively to it and it brought us together as a team.
